Submission Guidelines

Share Your Voice: Haute Dish Anthology Submissions

We’re excited to announce the first Haute Dish anthology, a professionally published collection of stories, poems, and memoirs showcasing the voices of our community. Your work will appear in a formal, printed edition alongside other selected authors. This is your chance to be part of a lasting, curated collection.


Theme: Voices of Resilience

We are looking for work that explores strength, vulnerability, persistence, and the human spirit. Your voice matters and we want it in our anthology.


Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions in the following genres:

  • All work must be previously unpublished and submission-ready.
  • Pieces should be polished, clean, and ready for professional publication. Metro State’s Writing Center is available to help with proofreading and polishing your submission pieces.

All submissions must be clean and submission-ready. Do not expect the editorial team to provide corrections or formatting help.


Formatting Your Work

  • Use a 12-point, readable font such as Times New Roman
  • Double-space your text
  • Include a title page with the title only. Do not include your name anywhere on the manuscript
  • Submit as Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF files

Author Bio

  • Include a brief bio in your submission email or form. Maximum 150 words.
  • Metro State’s Writing Center is available to help specifically with proofreading and polishing your bio.

Reminder: Your bio is limited to 150 words. Keep it concise and polished.


Submission Process


Deadline

  • Submissions must be received by October 31, 2025.
  • Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered

Copyright and Publication

  • By submitting, you grant Haute Dish the right to publish your work in the anthology
  • This is a formally published book. Your work will appear in print alongside other selected authors.

Final Reminders

Do not include your name on your manuscript or anywhere in the submission files. All pieces must be clean, polished, and submission-ready. We do not have the resources to edit submissions for you. Follow all word and line limits. Pieces exceeding these limits may be disqualified.
