angel
By Kelly Vigesaa

After all this time
you’re really here with me

Do I feel as you’ve imagined,
the feathers of my wings

Do I taste as you have dreamed,
the sweet ambrosia from my lips

Does the smell of my skin intoxicate you,
beneath the glow of the moon

Are you living out your fantasy,
what you once coveted, now you hold

And in the light of dawn,
when last night’s angel has taken flight

And you awake
to Me –

Am I all you thought I’d be?
