future focus
Delphine Brooks

I’m living a dream.
Once the kids are gone
I use to say
Things will be quite different
In a new way
Degrees will be sought
In different forms
Of the intellectual type
Even the physical one
The degree of weight loss
Will be seen and felt
Must get new clothes
Must be slim, sexy and svelte
Curves restructured
Deep dents unearthed
Time to give in
To the grandeur of rebirth
Once the kids are gone.
